We were enjoying ourselves! |
The wind, as predicted, was strong coming from the South West but with a distinct icy feel; exacerbated by squally showers which dominated the first hour. The visibilty from Carn Liath was reasonabe and we were able to see the distinctive shape of Beinn Lutharn Mhor in the distance.

However, our planned lunch stop at Carn Liath was posponed until we reached the shelter of the return track which runs along the nothern side of Alt Cristie Beag & Alt Cristie Mor. As we continued our descent Alt Connie was in full bore merging into the Ey burn and by this time the sun was on our backs and the sky was blue.

We arrived back at the Lamont Monument Car Park ahead of schedule but satisfied.
