The Braemar Walkers were formed on 11 January 2010 to encourage walking in and around Braemar. The walks aim to promote fitness through walking and social interaction with like minded people.
Activities: Plan and execute walks, look at new and existing routes and research and investigate old and ancient paths in the area.

Summary: An Easy walk around Craig Choinich via the Society Bridge, Queens Drive,
Lions Face and the Cromlins.

Distance: 7.12 Km 4.43 miles Altitude 400 metres

Sunrise: 08:22 Sunset: 16:20


Grade: Easy – height gained 65 Metres


Highlights: Views of Braemar, River Dee, Invercauld House

What to bring?
Hot drink & something suitable to toast the Bard
Warm, weatherproof, clothing, suitable for the conditions.
Torch (for emergencies only)

Poles and Gaiters
Crampons, Ice spikes, yaktraks etc may be beneficial.
A 1st Aid kit, emergency shelter and phone, will be available.
Note: Limited mobile reception on south east side of Craig Choinich
