Even the stalwarts of the group had been put off by the weather and hangovers. The original plan was to re-visit the Balmoral Cairns but driving over to Balmoral in the prevailing conditions would have been quite stressful. So two guest members of the group, Dave & Suzane were introduced to a foul weather alternative taking in the Queens Drive and Creag Choinnich. The walk took 3.5 hours and seemed to be enjoyed by everyone. In between snow showers, the visibilty on the top was reasonable and we were treated to brief glimpses of Braemar Castle,Gleann ant -Slugain and Invercauld House.
A good day considering the weather conditions.
