The forcast predicted rain and it definately looked like we would get bucket fulls but as it turned out the Creator must have been looking over us for the only moisture we had to contend with was our own sweat which, at times, was flowing freely.

View from far Cairn Cairn nan Sgliat |
Two of us plus my ever faithful Collie started the walk at the Hillside Drive Gate then through Corrie Feragie and onto Queens Drive. Then climbed through the low cloud to Carn nan Sgliat. The cloud lifted as we arrived on top giving us a glimpse of the cairns to navigate to in the distance.

Close to the Millstone |
We walked along the ridge and descended down the very faint track to the cairn at approx 500 metres. from there we climbed up to the shoulder of Millstone Cairn and walked along the ridge to the cairn itself. From Millstone it was a short traverse across to Creag nan Leachda and the highest point of our walk at 784 metres. The views of Glen Beg and the Balochbui Forest were great and worth the sweat. We descended towards Sron a Bhruic then broke off to descend further down a steep incline to Alt Clais Mhor. After fording the burn we picked up the path to the north west of the Bridge of Dee and then followed the track parallell to the A93 around the Charters Chest and back onto the Queens drive and home. Another good walk but exremely energetic!!
