The Braemar Walkers were formed on 11 January 2010 to encourage walking in and around Braemar. The walks aim to promote fitness through walking and social interaction with like minded people.
Activities: Plan and execute walks, look at new and existing routes and research and investigate old and ancient paths in the area.

Walk 12 Report and Photograph

Walk 12 – Thursday 28th October 2010

Organised by – Liz and Duncan
A pleasant walk starting at the Baddoch Bridge up the narrow valley, then to the ‘Hill of the Goat’ (834m), and return along the ridge to Auchallater.
This was a one-way walk. Suitable vehicles were arranged to take to Baddoch and Auchallater respectively.
Grade- Moderate
Interests – old settlements, usual wildlife, and cloudberries.
Distance – 10.5 km, Height gained – 410 m,
Time – 4.5 hrs (inc. lunch).
