Well,the date was correct but the weather had other ideas!

The Solstice was Wednesday 20th Sunrise 04:12 Sunset 22:08 the length of day was 17 hours 55 mins 36 seconds with less than one second difference on Thursday 21st. We decided to pay our respects to the Summer on Thursday 21st and climbed Craig Choinnich. The weather was exactly the same as last year.. A Ground Hog Day if ever there was one!
